Yup, that’s right folks… I’ve finally jumped on the instagram wagon.
I realise that I’ve been failing miserably at my photo challenges which I used to absolutely love and that gave me so much pleasure, so it’s time that I took to photos in a quicker, simpler way. The ways of insta… gram 😉
I’d love for you to come on over and join me…. @mynuttyinsta
And so this brings us to the end of my something new’s for 2017… but fear not, they will certainly be continuing in 2018, and will be a big part of the instagram life that I will now be getting into.
So with that I’d like to take this moment to wish every single one of my readers, and especially my followers, a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope that 2018 is filled with love, joy and laughter for you, wherever you are in this big wide world of ours ❤
This past week, while I was still in Dubai, I had a joint early birthday celebration with J because a) our birthdays are one day apart, and b) we’re not going to be together for our birthdays 😥
But we did it fancy pants style and had a fabulous night out at Prime 68 – a steak house on the 68th floor (duh) of the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel.
Absolutely breathtaking views of Dubai as you walk in and get taken to your table, and once there, even more amazing views of the beautiful lights all over Dubai – we were luckily there on a supremely clear night to get to really enjoy the stunning views!
The menu, obviously, is chock full of steak options, plus a bit of this and a bit of that… I was not to be distracted by anything other than steak though 😉 We placed our orders and sat back and enjoyed the
After our starters – wagyu mince balls with a cheesy sauce – the waitress arrived at our table with a display box full of steak knives to choose from. Say what?! Yes, I had to CHOOSE which knife to use for my steak!!
Take your pick!!!!
Of course I had no idea what I was doing (which provided J with some serious chuckles!) so opted for the smallest one… since I have small hands 😀 and proceeded to tuck into my 250g filet steak, served with Prime 68’s signature steak sauce, while J had the dry aged rib eye.
We chose to forego the desserts, but the waitress brought us some mini jam-filled doughnuts, compliments of the chef, to finish off the night 🙂
Overall a super fancy night, with delicious food, stunning views, great service and a fab early birthday mini celebration 🙂
‘Tis the season to be jolly!
And because it’s such a jolly season, it means that we get to be jolly, and act silly and have fun times with great friends – which is exactly what I’ve done this past week 🙂
- I bought a Christmas sweater and got to enjoy wearing it out at our own little sweater party night out
- Dave Minion got to join us, all decked out in his brand new Christmas Coat
- I went for a run on the beach with Nat & Sara, donned in our Christmas colours and Christmas hats
- And completely unrelated to the festive season but part of my something new for the week: I ate a cauliflower-based pizza for dinner after our run. This wasn’t quite running to breakfast, but it was running to food 😉
Christmas Sweater Party 🙂

Cauliflower-based pizza… YUMMY!
