Who am I?

I’m a runner, eater, drinker, party girl, cat lady who has made Dubai home.

Originally from South Africa, I moved over to the UAE in 2008 to earn some money and then go home, buy a house and a car and carry on living… but I ‘accidentally’ stayed in Dubai and have since fallen in love with the place. I spend my time trying to better myself at running, followed by drinking lots and lots of beer, spending quality time with friends, travelling as much of the world as I can, loving my cats, and somewhere in between all of that I make a living too. Oh, and then there’s this blog

Over time my blog has been re-shaped to fit in with my lifestyle as it changes over the years. Currently my main focusses are my 52 New Things Challenge, and anything running related… with the odd photo thrown in here or there for fun.

I began the 52 New Things challenge in 2015 where I set out to do something new each week of the year. The last 3 years have seen me do some really interesting things such as get tattoo(s), lots of travelling, always building on my exercise and running accomplishments, grow the brain power by starting a degree and even finally joining Instagram.

I am by no means finished with this challenge, even though it gets tough sometimes, and I hope to see some wonderfully interesting and exciting items added to this list as 2018 rolls on!
