Who am I?

I’m a runner, eater, drinker, party girl, cat lady who has made Dubai home.

Originally from South Africa, I moved over to the UAE in 2008 to earn some money and then go home, buy a house and a car and carry on living… but I ‘accidentally’ stayed in Dubai and have since fallen in love with the place. I spend my time trying to better myself at running, followed by drinking lots and lots of beer, spending quality time with friends, travelling as much of the world as I can, loving my cats, and somewhere in between all of that I make a living too. Oh, and then there’s this blog

Over time my blog has been re-shaped to fit in with my lifestyle as it changes over the years. Currently my main focusses are my 52 New Things Challenge, and anything running related… with the odd photo thrown in here or there for fun.

I began the 52 New Things challenge in 2015 where I set out to do something new each week of the year. The last 3 years have seen me do some really interesting things such as get tattoo(s), lots of travelling, always building on my exercise and running accomplishments, grow the brain power by starting a degree and even finally joining Instagram.

I am by no means finished with this challenge, even though it gets tough sometimes, and I hope to see some wonderfully interesting and exciting items added to this list as 2018 rolls on!

Come on in and make yourself at home here in my world nuttydubai!

We would like to invite you in one of our client’s food tasting event(we are launching a New menu), is there anyway we can send you the invite personally?

    • Hello Shahd,
No I do not give out my email address as it is private – if there is something that you need to ask about my blog, you can do so in these comments here.

      Welcome 🙂

  3. I’m new to blogging, and still have tons to do to improve my blog, but I loved the look and the content of your blog straight away.
I lived in dubai for 5 years (I’m a Brit) so will underastand a lot of what you write about I suspect!
Looking forward to sharing your journey.

  4. Hi mynuttydubai. Great site you have here and great that you update it so often! Do you have an email address I can contact you on. I would like to discuss a collaboration between my site and yours. Many thanks. You can contact me on my email address I used to post this comment.

    • Glad you like my blog Gus, and thanks for visiting 😉
Unfortunately I’m not looking to collaborate with anyone – this is purely my blog and I’d like to keep it that way.
      Thanks for offering though!

    • Thank you for the compliment and the suggestion 🙂
I’ll have a look into it, but make no promises right now – I am not very creative when it comes to making up stories to write so I might battle with this… I’ll have a look at what others are writing and will definitely give it some serious thought! Thanks again 🙂
